Transitional housing is a very useful resource for recovering individuals in Charmco who have graduated a drug rehabilitation program but still require time to completely re-acclimate to normal life and the real world. For a person who has used drugs and alcohol to self medicate and especially for long term addicts, the world can seem like a daunting place now that he or she has to endure life without the use of drugs or alcohol. Transitional housing in Charmco provides a safe haven where those who are in this stage of the drug rehabilitation experience can slowly become at ease with the idea of rebuilding their life without drugs and becoming independent. While in transitional housing those in recovery can continue to participate in one-on-one and group counseling as needed to help them along, and also to find steady employment and housing so that they have a good shot at remaining abstinent and being to lead a fruitful and happy life.
