Many individuals in Vulcan who end up in drug rehab are dual diagnosis clients with co-occurring mental and substance abuse problems. Surprisingly, as many as 1/3 of those who struggle with mental health issues in Vulcan also become involved in substance abuse at some time in their lives. This in itself can help resolve addiction issues and put the individual in a position to receive rehabilitation for both conditions so that they have a strong chance of remaining abstinent and mentally stable in the future.
