The Zydone Side Effects That Everybody Should Know About

Prior to taking any kind of drug it is always best to know about any adverse effects that you may have at some point. What follows is information on the various Zydone side effects that have been observed in patients and during trials with them being broken up into two sections according to how mild or how severe they may be. It is also important to point out that even though these side effects were observed they may have occurred due to other drugs or health issues and may not have been directly linked to Zydone at least in the majority of cases.

Before discussing the actual side effects, it is perhaps best to just post a reminder about what Zydone is used for and what it does to the body. Zydone is actually a combination of Hydrocodone and Acetaminophen and the drug is used to treat moderate to severe pain with the hydrocodone being an opioid and there is a chance of people developing an addiction.

Mild and common Zydone side effects.

These mild side effects will not require any medical intervention unless they do persist for quite some time or if they do get progressively worse. It is also worth pointing out that there is no way of knowing if a person will only suffer from one or a combination at any given time, but it is useful to know in advance what the main side effects are so they can be recognized.

The most common includes: feeling light headed at different times, dizzy, drowsy after taking it, a general lethargic feeling, nausea, vomiting, being constipated, and finding it difficult to concentrate on anything for a prolonged period of time. It should be pointed out that just because you vomit from taking it does not mean you are allergic to the drug as it is a common reaction and it should give you no cause for concern.

Rare, but more serious Zydone side effects.

With these rarer side effects you are advised to seek medical attention immediately in order to prevent the person from getting progressively worse as there is a risk of organ damage and possibly death. As like before it is important that you are aware of these symptoms in advance so you can then identify them as soon as possible.

The side effects to be aware of include: severe nausea and repeated vomiting, stomach pain especially in your upper stomach, loss of appetite, difficulty urinating, urine being a dark color, a change in the color of your stools, yellowing of the skin or the white of the eyes, your breathing becoming shallow, slower heartbeat, feeling light headed on a regular basis or for a prolonged period of time, fainting, convulsions, developing unusual thoughts, confusion, and anxiety. There is also the possibility of having an allergic reaction to the Zydone and this can often be recognized due to the person having problems with their breathing, developing a rash, hives, and swelling around their lips and tongue. If you have this reaction, then it is essential that you, or the person that has taken the drug, receives medical attention as quickly as possible before their breathing becomes completely obstructed.

Do be aware that taking Zydone when pregnant or breast feeding is not advised as it is unknown as to whether or not this may pose a problem to the baby or unborn child. It should be mentioned that both of the main ingredients in this drug can be passed through breast milk so it is fair to assume that the same will happen with Zydone and it should be avoided.

Finally, this drug may cause problems for people that already suffer from various health issues such as low blood pressure, stomach issues, kidney problems, and also problems with the liver. People that have suffered from asthma at some point in their life should also avoid it due to the potential risk of developing breathing problems.

Those are the different Zydone side effects that you need to be aware of, but as has been mentioned previously it is still quite rare for somebody to develop them and even rarer for them to pose any serious health problem. Do remember that the mild side effects will tend to pass without any problem, but if they do get worse, then seek medical help as quickly as possible to prevent further health problems from developing.
